McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - South

I recently used McDonald funeral home in South Weymouth after the unexpected passing of my wife. We worked with Cara there to plan the services. Despite the fact that we had to make a lot of decisions quickly (we're both relatively young and this wasn't something we had planned ahead for..), she made the process easy. She was very understanding and we didn't feel rushed or pressured to do anything. They coordinated everything between the funeral home, church, and cemetery. The wake and funeral services all went perfectly. They really did make going through a really tough emotional time bearable, and I would recommend them to anyone who needs to plan a funeral.

The funeral was held in New York so I only needed McDonald Keohane to pick up the body and to deliver it to New York. McDonald Keohane did a great job and was easy to deal with. They took care of things I did not think about such as notifying Social Security and getting certified copies of death certificates

We recently had the best experience with Corinne Leary, Director. She was so helpful and compassionate. She guided us and made things a little easier in our time of sorrow. I have dealt with many funerals over the years, I have to say Corinne was the best!

We worked with McDonald Keohane Funeral Home in planning most recently the funeral of our father, however we also worked with them during the COVID pandemic in the planning of our mother's funeral. In both instances our experience was wonderful, however I would like to especially point out that during the pandemic when no one knew what was the safe and appropriate thing to do when planning a funeral they were beside us all of the way. Guiding and supporting us in making the decisions that were best for our family. My mother died at the very beginning of the pandemic. We did not have her funeral for 14 months. We were never made to feel as though we should rush to plan it. Instead we waited until it felt right and safe for our family to be together. They totally supported us in that and I will always be grateful.
