    I don't know how this firm has gotten such high ratings. It was because of these ratings that I chose to work with this firm, as well as when I read about the owner experiencing her own divorce. I thought this would be a place that would empathize with what I was going through. Well, this was not the case. I did the intake with the intake coordinator and explained I had a pretrial coming up in a few months. They sent me the papers to sign via email and asked for my deposit of $5,000. I was told that a lawyer would be put on my case, and I would be contacted. Well, I waited and waited and finally it was getting close to the pretrial, so I called to find out what was going on if anything had been prepared for my case. Low and behold, I get a call from the intake person claiming she forgot to forward my case to the Lawyer and that it was still in her inbox. She apologized and told me I would get a call from an attorney whose name was different from the initial one. She again apologized and had the original reach out. I was told that we could still move forward with the pretrial, but because certain things were not done already the judge may not hear the case. Of course, this made me very upset as this would cause a postponement and a reschedule which I knew would be a long time because of the courts. I asked to speak to the owner and got a call from someone else who handles complaints. She assured me she would pass the info on to the Owner, but I never received a call or an email from the owner. To make a long story short, my case was rescheduled for 6 months, and the attorney I had was not empathetic at all, I complained and was supposedly given a new one who never reached out by phone but sent an email to the portal which I never knew about. I could no longer take the ineptness of this firm, so I wrote a letter terminating their services, just to be told they would not refund my balance until I got a new lawyer to drop the new hearing and they would not release my records to take to a new firm. Well as of today months later they cancelled the new hearing and they still have not refunded my balance. They had no problem taking my money ASAP but didn't forward my case to a lawyer. I don't know if this is because I am a minority, I would hate to think this, but I feel I did not get the representation I deserved nor the response that they should've given after the situation. I just want my money refunded so I can retain another attorney who will represent me with integrity, empathy, and respect. Do your homework in person, don't rely on reviews and if it doesn't feel right, it's not right. PLEASE REFUND MY MONEY NOW THAT YOU HAVE WITHDRAWN THE MOTION FOR THE NEW HEARING!

To start, we completely agree that a person needs an attorney who they trust and have a good working relationship with. As legal representation, we also need that from our clients. To protect your confidentiality, we won't respond specifically to the majority of complaints you've stated here, but welcome a private discussion where we do not risk breaking our ethical responsibility to you as we disagree with a number of things you have written. We admit and take full responsibility for the fact our intake team did not properly assign your case to an attorney. That is something that usually happens within 48 hours. We completely understand the frustration there, and have apologized and continue to apologize for the fact that did not happen for you. We would love to say we never make mistakes, but we are also human. We are incredibly sorry that mistake set a bad undertone for you and your case, and we have taken steps "behind the scenes" to try to make sure that mistake does not happen again.As for the issue you’ve raised regarding your case closing with our firm, as was explained, the court requires us to obtain an order from the Court allowing us to withdraw before we can formally close your case. As it is faster if you hire new counsel, were waiting on you to let us know how you wanted to handle this. We also needed confirmation on how you wanted your retainer refunded to you, which we are still waiting on a response to that as well. Our office will reach out to you again in relation to these issues, but we do need you to communicate directly with our office to get these things done. Regardless, we wish you the absolute best.
