Donatello's Restaurant

Great food but waiter was awful.. Went on Valentines Day, server didn't introduce himself until my girl asked for his name.. Didn't read the specials, had no idea what was on the menu or what came with the meals.. Took him 15mins to bring us a sprite an coke.. We didn't order real drinks or desert because we figured it would take even longer for us to get out of there.. At the end of the meal my girl had to track down the waiter for the bill.. I give servers alot of slack because I know many of them but you could tell he was new an had the smallest section.. Again food was great even though the waiter didn't understand what "rare.. Like Mooing" meant when ordering a steak because it came back well done.. Was still good though, will probably go back again but if we get seated with the same waiter I will walk out.. Need to better train or screen their servers.

I am of Italian descent and I have eaten in just about every Italian restaurant in Boston and on the northshore.......Donatello by far serves the most delicious and authentic food. They offer a wide selection on the menu and will make anything you want if they have the ingredients. They make their own pasta, dressings and more----everything is from scratch. Don't let the outdated décor scare you away.......amazing food and the owners and bartender Lori and Umberto are very friendly, professional and accommodating! YUM! Run, don't walk to Donatellos!!!
