I loooooove this place-have eaten out for years at all Salem, Beverly, Gloucester and many Boston high end restaurants. Can you say "Northern Italian comfort food made with fresh local ingredients?" Have had nothing but great food, drinks, service, valet parking WITHOUT ANY ATTITUDE. Going for 5th? time tomorrow night-can't wait!

Loved everything about Great Escape. The food was delicious - I had the lemon chicken and asked for it over linguine rather than potatoes - no problem! The homemade pasta and the dish was beautifully presented and was more than enough for 2 meals. My date had the veal which he raved about and despite being enough for 2 meals - he ate the entire thing. We even commented on how great the salads were. The service was excellent to the point that our water glasses never even were less than half full! The Great Escape was a great surprise and will become a favorite. I highly recommend it!

I appreciated that they had Dogfish Head on tap. The service was excellent and our son's marinara sauce was really good, homemade and well seasoned. The pork chop was tender and a great cut but a little lacking in complexity on the flavor. It felt sort of smothered in BBQ sauce. My cheese/mustard risotto with scallops and spinach was a bit too heavy, it possibly should have had more spinach or anything to cut the weight of the dish. The scallops were also buried, which is a sad way to serve a decent seared scallop. Overall a very tasty meal, but at the prices we paid (26 for the risotto dish as an example) I would have expected everything to be awesome.
