Great food and atmosphere very conciousness of food allergies

I went to burton's with my wife I ordered a cheese burger with mashed potatoes when the meal came the mash potatoes had so much pepper in it that you couldn't eat them I sent them back then the manager came out to tell me the cook put to much pepper in the potatoes and they have to throw them away so they can make a new batch and it will take 40 minutes to cooi think the manager should keep a eye on his cooks because they are not good.

Me and my boyfriend go there as a special treat every now and again and order the $40 filet. You’d think ordering the most expensive thing on the menu that it would be cooked how you ask.
I asked for it medium well and what was served was pretty much as rare as it comes. I’ve NEVER sent a meal back to the kitchen before but this time I did. An apology was barely given for the mistake (because mistakes do happen and I understand that!) and when it came back it was clearly put back in a pan of oil to cook it through some more. Totally fine. Whatever at this point as our table was pretty much done with their food. It had the strongest burnt flavor. Highly disappointed.
Waitress looked like she really didn’t want to be there. Wasn’t attentive at all. Nothing was offered to compensate for a $40 ruined steak and really didn’t seem bothered.
Ruined what is usually one of our favorite places to eat together.
