Absolute worst health care facility. Need to pick a new PCP because your old one moved out of state? Oh sorry, we don't have any that are accepting new patients right now. Finally find one that's accepting new patients? Oh sorry, our fancy online MyChart system wont let you book an appointment because you haven't seen this doctor before, so you have to call. You called to book an appointment with your new PCP like they asked? Oh sorry, it's been so long since you've been here (3 years), you are no longer considered an "existing patient" and are now considered a "new patient" and we are unfortunately not accepting new patients. GTFO.

Absolutely horrible service. Does not send notice of any changes and instead lives by the statement Its in your my chart well this is just laziness and wrong. I am now without a pcp and no ability to even rejoin the practice because my old pcp left. They do not care about Individuals at all.

I don't leave reviews often but if you're looking into SSMC, these reviews are accurate and you should look elsewhere. I have been seeing my PCP at SSMC my entire life. I love how everything is in one building and never had any issues. Over the past few years, things have been getting progressively worse and going downhill. Every single bill I get I need to contact the billing department. They constantly code things incorrectly and I have to spend hours on the phone getting them to fix it (which they usually won't until my insurance gets involved and contacts them). Recently I had an ortho follow-up visit, which they charged me for despite the only thing they did was hand me a referral notice. That could have been sent to me via MyChart but instead, they considered it a follow up and could collect payment this way. To me, a follow up visit should entail more than handing over a sheet of paper. Whenever you need to get on the phone, they're incredibly rude. Whether that is the billing department or triage. I had a couple phone calls with the triage nurse and they were incredibly dismissive and acted like I didn't know what I am talking about (despite being in healthcare myself). The advice they gave me, aside from being dismissive, was so far fetched incorrect because they refused to listed to what I was saying. And when they wouldn't let me book an appointment unless I wanted it months later, they had me come in for "urgent care" - which by no surprise is not actually urgent care, they will bill it as a specialty visit. Recently my PCP left and started her own practice (not surprised) yet SSMC has no one else to send her patients to. I've been on a waitlist for months, unless I want to see a male PA at a different location, which I'm not comfortable with and is much further away. They don't care about your preferences of who you see or how long you've been a patient for. I usually see the NP for my physicals (who I love and would like to continue seeing) and although she is still at SSMC, they won't let me see her now that she is under a different doctor. At this point, its likely not worth for me to stay at SSMC and I'll be looking for a new doctor elsewhere.

Please if you ever listen to a review. Please listen to this and all the other ones I have seen. I have been coming here since I was a child and I'm 30. My son pediatrician was my pediatrician just to show how long. This place has rapidly gone down hill. I honestly sad because the office is nice and clean and they are lots of locations. Dont let how nice the office fool you though. The staff is RUDE. I feel like a burden even calling. It's immediate attitude once you finally get to a nurse or anyone. Even if you do they just push you to go to another urgent care if you sick or the hospital which is not practical for everyone. When I tell you my whole family I are now having to go look else were for care it's all due to staff specifically the nurses and doctors. Most of All the nurses here are EXTREMLY RUDE i just cried after my last call with patty in nursing from interal medicine because oh how rude she was the minute she picked up the phone. I got flustered with her because i was not being heard and she was rude the minute she picked up. You get tired of being pushed around and end up wanting to just give up. Your lucky if you get a nice nurse sincr there is only a handful of them in the office. Even if you ask what there name is to tell someone how your were treated the nurses will never get repercussions for how they treat patients. Which is why they talk down to you since they can get away with it. Then there is only maybe a handful of doctors here who actually listen and you cant get appointment with them ... you will get gaslight to making more un needed appointments which probably has something to do with money. You can tell too. They do not listen at all. My son's pediatrician left and I don't blame her either. The quality in care here is not good. Please dont think about coming here not worth your time or energy. If I could give zero stars I would.
