We had a subscription with The Chelmsford Independent for many years. We renewed the subscription around the time that the paper was merging or being purchased (not really sure what was going on ), but the renewal notice came from the Littleton Independent. A check was sent in and cashed but we have never received any copies of whatever the paper was being called. Despite numerous calls and sending in copies of the renewal notice and the cancelled check we have never, never received so much as a call or response from Gatehouse Media of new England. We did receive a new offer from The Eagle-Independent for a SPECIAL OFFER saying "We want you back. As a welcome back gift to you we are offering you 50% off. That's only $46.50 for up to 2 weeks pf delivery." Great offer! I wrote to The Eagle-Independent but never received so much as a call. Absolutely the worst customer service EVER!

Waited over a month to get a simple question answered, where for the first two weeks no one answered you unless you did a review then they all of a sudden cared. They gave varying answers on who would do anniversaries as an actual write up where you paid. Nancy O said they do that, others there said no. Then others would say yes. Or they would throw you to obits where the lady Betty P. Was very rude to my husband and then decided to call me and start with me at my job because I guess she didn’t like my husband hanging up on her. They want reviews pulled so they’ll tell you anything you desire to hear. The minute they get the reviews pulled, they play ignorant for weeks again. Then blame my husband and and I for being disgusted with them - took zero responsibility for the fact we got varying answers for one question for a month now, did not apologize for anything, places the blame on us when they have no idea what their workers said and did - for my husband to hang up on you because you’re talking over him and being rude and then you call me harassing me when you don’t like his answers at work is unprofessionalism at its finest. Maybe instead of listening to your workers- you listen your customers
