My family and I have been coming to Nantucket for the past 25 years. Through the years, Greg McKechnie and Sam Parsons, at Great Point Properties helped us find the perfect vacation rental. In 2017, my wife and I went to see Greg to share with him our dream of one day (in 4+ years) owning a house on Nantucket. Greg’s reaction--let’s go out and look at houses. He spent several hours with us, knowing full well we were years away, if ever, from actually buying. And Greg doesn’t just show houses, he knows the story behind each one. He is a walking Nantucket historian. Last October we were back on Nantucket and my wife was anxious to go house hunting again. I was reluctant to ask Greg to take us out--we were still at least two years away from thinking about buying. But I did stop in to say “hi” to him and mentioned if he had any spare time… Greg immediately pulled out a file with his notes on all the houses we had seen two years ago and my wife’s and my reaction to each one. Not only was Greg delighted to take us out again but he spent two days matching homes to what his notes told him we liked from two years prior. The curated hunt was so well thought out that we found our perfect Nantucket home and, while a little ahead of schedule, bought it. Greg and his team--shout out to Jule Hall--were equally terrific in shepherding the deal through escrow and in answering every question and resolving every issue that we, as first time East Coast homeowners had. It doesn't get any better than Greg and Great Point Properties.
