Outback Steakhouse

Just wanted to thank the girls who put me on a 45 minute waiting list at 645 pm tonight and its now 1045. Still no call. I understand its busy on a Saturday night but its not a 4 hour wait kind of busy. Never received a call and when I called at 730 if the girl even Put my name in she said your on the list and blew me off!

Visited on a Sunday around 4pm. Service to be seated was quick but following being seated we were not met by any wait staff for about 35 minutes. During this time we were able to pick out our entire dinners start to finish. There we 4 of us 2 adults 2 children ( 12 and 9). During this time we observed many staff fooling around in the front end of the restaurant. I understand that it was not busy but we also were not even asked about drinks or greeted by a server. We watched 4 staff coming and going to talk while 2 staff were eating at a front table. Still even while walking past numerous times, no one said a word. Our waitress finally made her way over she must have been from the back because I hadnt seen her yet in the mix with the other staff socializing. She probably meant well but made comments the entire time we ate about how quickly we ate the appetizers much food we ordered and this was AFTER SHE CALLED MY DAUGHTER A GROWING BOY because she was wearing a hat(the hat had sparkling baby blue lettering as did her shirt that matched from Justice. She followed up by patting her like a dog and saying Im sorry thats just one peculiar outfit. Her service was tasteless and us hurrying to eat was to get the heck out. She couldnt resist a comment while dropping off dishes like ohhh daddy must have a big appetite because he ordered a steak asparagus and mashed potatoes? ANYWAYS MOVING ON TO THE READON FOR 3 stars. The COOK!! Whoever cooked the food was AMAZING and hands down deserves way more credit then they probably will by this review by my steak was melt in your mouth and the most tasteful Ive had in a while!!!! Yum! I mean if only it werent for the weird front end environment I would definitely give the 5 star because that food was something I would encourage everyone go try! Every food I tasted had flavor, tasted fresh and hot. Kudos to the kitchen!

The staff and owner were very responsive, courteous, and the food and portions were great. Cooked the right way. When we asked for some more bread, they came back with 2. The waiter was very personable and the owner came to check in on us personally. Would go back, such great food and staff.

Having been several times I anticipated a decent meal. However tonight was not a great experience. We waited 10 minutes for he waitress to even say hello. Then we ordered drinks and an app. All were fine. Salads came and my salad didn't have the dressing on it (typically it is tossed with a vinaigrette). We asked for more bread twice and never received it. My boyfriends salad had very little dressing. Our meals came and my boyfriends steak was so charred it was inedible. My steak was charred on one side but not horrible. (Picture below of my medium rare steak). We asked for another soda and this time they brought diet. We were drinking regular. I was never offered another water. I asked for a manager and asked for a new steak. Never being rude or upset. They cooked another steak. This time it was a fatty steak but cooked well. Unfortunately the flaws throughout the entire meal was just not acceptable. We won't be back.

I used to love Outback, and haven't been to one in a couple years. Decided to grab some food on our way back from skiing and it was terrible. Whoever is cooking back in the kitchen a refresher. Ordered a ribeye medium rare, came out well done and ridiculously chewy. I couldn't even eat it. The sauted mushrooms were disgusting and tasted like they were pickled instead of sauteed. The chicken sandwich didn't have any of the sauce included on the sandwich itself so we had to ask for it. Not to mention it was a very sad looking sandwich. We decided to get the cookie skillet thinking you can't possibly mess this up. Well, it came out hard, stale, and cold. The skillet itself wasn't even heated up. We didn't finish any item we ordered and to think that meal cost us $75.00... guess we won't be going back to an Outback Steakhouse anytime soon.
