I called Leo based on a reference from a neighbor. From the beginning he lacked responsiveness (told me his phone was stolen). He knew his stuff and came to look at my firepit which cracked - I wanted it fixed. Leo said no problem, I asked for a warranty based on my experience with my last contractor, he said no problem. Leo quoted the job, we agreed on details and the warranty and his guys came in. They did nice work, were courteous but then they came to me for a check, not Leo. Ok. First fire, my firepit cracked again. I called Leo, no response. I called his guy who was responsive but informed me Leo needed to look at it but he is now in Brazil. Really? I texted him, he read the messages. No response. I sent a letter via my attorney, no response. I am now taking this to small claims court. Its really too bad -all the situation would have taken to resolve is courteousness and a response. Buyer beware. Leo does not communicate, does not keep his word and to date, has not stood behind his work product. Called Leo again.. scum of the earth! Hung up on me when I tried to talk through issues- had a lot to say about the quality of my last mason and tell u what Leo was worse! He basically gave me the same solution charged more said he would warranty and screwed. A pos as far as integrity ethics and follow through goes, lack of workmanship. The man sucks- RUN

I am a commercial GC and have used Leo and Best Masonry for years. He always shows up and works like a professional and provides an excellent service. His crew are hard working and do wonderful work. He is a huge part of our team at JJWelch and I recommend him to many of my clients and will continue to do so.

Leo and his team are amazing! They recently completed a beautiful stone retaining wall, river stone around our above ground pool and created natural stone steps in our backyard. They helped us design the layout and it only took them a little over a week from start to finish. We had a party we wanted the work completed for so they even stayed late several nights to ensure it got done. I would highly recommend them!

This is the most dishonest contractor I have ever worked with. He was referred by the supplier as someone trying to start a business. So I thought to give him a chance. Hired him to build a retention wall. He gave a quote that was very little with specifics. When asked to put specifics in the quote, 60 feet wall became 55 feet. He didn’t have crew to build the wall. He actually subcontracted it out and wasn’t here to tell the subcontractors what the shape of the end is when they started. When the subcontractors build the end wrong and I ask them to correct it, he want to charge me extra for the correction. When the wall was finished, he told me to pay extra $600 because he used one more pellet of stones. I paid him but later find out that wasn’t true. The stones used were well within the estimate. He said he would show me the proof for the extra charges. I made 3 appointments with him and had to get off work early to make to the appointments. But he never showed up and he refused to give me the reasons over e-mail. It has been 3 weeks and he still refuse to give me the reasons or refund me the money. There are lots good contractors. Stay away from this one.
