    Steve Morrison and his crew at Morrisons Home Improvement responded on very short notice to protect the inside of our home after a tree fell on our house last week, leaving a hole in our roof and ceiling. Because of the quick response and the quality of their work, we were protected from the rains that followed over the following 48 hours. Everyone we interacted with was professional and courteous. We appreciate the effort that went into this, and for helping to make a difficult situation that much easier to deal with! David St. Peter

    Morrison was hired for an insurance claim involving a property that was flooded because of a dishwasher malfunction. Morrison delayed this project for months, granted it was a small job in the scheme of things, but nobody could offer any assistance, claiming that contractors were busy. This brings me to my second point, it is unclear to me why they call themselves a contractor, they simply sub out all the work and act as a middle man adding overhead money for doing little in the way of project management. After many non returned calls I finally spoke with the owner Steve. Steve was nice enough but again the job was late and slow causing ridiculous inconvenience to people living there. Over a year later the job is completed, but not before nickel and dimming, adding little stuff that was covered under the insurance work plan. Within two weeks of the completion of the job the money hounding starts. Demand for payment including threats of collection, I mean within two weeks. After dealing with Morrison and talking with people in the area I am at a loss on how this folks get Best of the Berkshires anything. I personally know contractors who wont go near them for lack of payment when they do sub work. Stay away is all I can advise. However, after this situation was brought to the owners attention it was immediately corrected. Turns out if Steve had known of the issue and my perspective it would have been rectified to everybody's satisfaction much earlier than it was. Thank you Steve.

    Morrison's has replaced two sets of windows for us and done a superb job. They are totally professional in every aspect of their work--quoting the job, communicating and executing. They show up when they say they will and get the job done in the period of time they say they will. The quality of the work is first rate. We have lived in the Berkshires for nearly 40 years. I wish that things worked so seamlessly with every contractor in the area with whom we have dealth.

Dear Carmine,We are sorry to hear about your concerns, as providing exceptional service is our top priority for every customer. We would like to mention that we have documentation of numerous site visits performed by our project manager as well as several discussions with you to provide updates on the project. This is also the reason why we requested a final walkthrough to ensure your complete satisfaction.We prioritize all jobs in the order they are received, regardless of size. Our contract states that the date timeline for start and completion, are projected dates. Your estimated start date was 07/03/2023, with actual work starting 09/26/2023. Delays caused by unforeseen circumstances, such as material unavailability or unexpected conditions on the job site, are beyond our control. Additionally, work was added to your project during the construction, which extended the original timeline. According to our contract, any work beyond the original scope will be charged at an additional cost. The additional costs billed were reviewed and approved prior.Regarding the final payment, no collection threats were made. Our policy states that finance fees will be charged after thirty days. Multiple emails were sent regarding the balance due with no response.Our role as a general contractor is to oversee construction projects, including management of our in-house crew and subcontractors. We had our in-house carpenters on your project as well as subcontractors for plumbing and countertop installation. It is not uncommon for a general contractor to hire specialized subcontractors to perform all or portions of the construction work. All of our subcontractors are licensed, insured, and have been working with us for many years.It appears that your concerns pertain to the additional cost incurred due to the extra work you requested, rather than the quality of our work. We regret that you felt the need to diminish our organization. We take pride in the work we do and are committed to providing high-quality services to our clients.
