I would not recommend CCG to anyone after what my family and child were put through.  The administration is horrible and the board members are inexperienced and dysfunctional.   I fell in love with the beautiful classrooms and the educational philosophy.  But the reality is that the administration makes it a miserable environment for teachers and parents, and therefor children as well.   I had prepared my child mentally for attending CCG for over a year during the pandemic, and we were the schools biggest fans.  If someone had told me somethin negative about the school, I would not have listened and would want to believe that it was a wonderful place.   A place cannot be good for children if it treats children with disregard and families are met with hostility.  There's nothing I can do to take back the immense stress that was caused to my family and child.  Please look elsewhere, save your family the stress.  I too read a bad review, but wanted to believe it was just one disgruntled person.   It is not worth putting your child in the hands of an act.   Go to the Groton Community School instead, or a small intimate daycare in a neighboring town, or get a nanny.   Anything else but CCG.

Our son was enrolled at CCG from age 6 months until we moved out of the area two years later. During that time, the teachers at CCG became like extended family. They knew our boy better than we did sometimes, and gently shared with us what they had learned about watching him with his peers. The level of care, creativity, and playful instruction given to students at CCG is unparalleled. Thank you for everything you did for our family!

We had two children go through the CCG. The second child went from infant to Pre-K. Had we stayed in Groton, we would have kept him at the School through Kindergarten. Our youngest is able to talk lightly in Spanish, he reads, he is interested in science and always reminds us to be "Peace Makers." It has a thoughtful and intentional curriculum that is designed to meet each child where they are and get them ready for the next intellectual and developmental level with care. I have also witnessed their care and consistency when dealing with children with obstinacy issues and other mild cases of ADHD. It is not a school for special needs children and is able to help identify and counsel parents when it is apparent that developmental milestones are not being reached.
