I have been a member of the Planet Fitness Centers for a number of years. Waltham, Worcester and now Duldey. I enjoy my workouts; however, I am beginning to become increasingly frustrated and irritable with the number of inconsiderate members, especially since the safety measures in place since the Corvid-19. People use the phone/ipads etc. to converse while sitting on a machine. Obliviousto the members waiting and ignoring the posted signs to use hand held devises in the lobby area. With the safe distance rule, every other machine is forbidden to use. One would think people would certainly be more aware of others since the decrease of available machines. Yeah, one would think. But people sit and daydream, text or play with the phones until they are ready to continue with their workout. At times, another member might ask the stationary member if they're finished. Hopeful the person will realize the holdup they have created and get up. Unfortunately, what usually happens is an instant attitude developes. An instulting remark, purposely prolong their time to continue sitting for another ten minutes. I have seen one man that will stay on the same machine long enough for anyone else to complete the whole circuit of machines, a ful 30 minutes! Another person might sit on the floor against a bench that is used with a machine. Sitting for at least 15 minutes playing with a cell phone, talk with another member, all the time in the world without any regard to anyone. Apparently it' too difficult to understand the machines need to be available for everyone within a reasonable time frame. It's one thing to be held up due to a machine being used. It's a totally different situation when being held up due to some ignorant person preventing any other paying member acess. Total lack of common courtesy, as in use the lobby for personal time at an appropriate location. None of the staff ever notice and/or fail to attempt to premote a smooth and freindly atmosphere.Including when it is brought to their attention. I have never seen so many thoughtless people in one place
