Dot dogs is not the place for anxious dogs!! Do NOT bring them here if your dog has anxiety. We have a rescue who is extremely anxious and gets trazodone given to her before hand (vets recommendation). We get the first appointment so that way she can be in and out and doesnt have to sit in the crate for hours and that way the medication does not wear off (for the groomers sake!). We told the owner this, and she had been there before, but every time she sounded like she had no idea what dog we were talking about. We dropped her off at 10am and I called at 3pm because I had not heard anything. She told me she hadnt even touched my dog yet and she would be done in 45min!!!! So for 5 hours my dog was in a crate with no potty break. My dog came home shaking, ran to our backyard to pee and then proceeded to chugged water. Do they even give them water or potty breaks during this? Didn't seem like it by the way my dog acted. I love giving back to local business but this business I will never return to. Last time we went she made us hold our dog as she cut her nails. They clearly need more help and dont take their times or even care about the dogs. Its just a business to them. We went to Broadway Dog Spa in Southie and she was done in an hour and half and came out smiling and they even sat on the floor and groomed her cause she was scared of the table, taking time with rescue dogs makes a huge difference! And us owners who work that anxiety out of them, appreciate the time taken. Again, anxious dogs shouldnt go here cause they will be in a crate for however long.

The owners are obnoxious, rude people who don't take kindly to being called out for supporting imperialism. These are public responses, by the way, so perhaps your business is better off elsewhere.
