I recently resigned from a 16-year career with a Fortune 500, to pursue my entrepreneurial dream of becoming a business owner. Leaving the banking world, I knew firsthand of the importance of being compliant, especially as I embark on opening my first boutique with The NOW Massage. Preparing my 50 page Employee Handbook and the list of employment forms for new hires (also specific to California) was a daunting task. I needed accountants to help me run my small business because I don't have enough time to learn accounting. Smartbooks does a fantastic job of providing catered, detailed service to small business owners with prices optimized to the individual business. My advisor walks me through my numbers each month and suggests improvements I can make. Smartbooks' tax specialist has helped me with a number of new tax strategies that have saved me a great deal of money. I highly recommend Smartbooks.

My biggest regret with Smartbooks is that I didn’t engage them sooner. We use multiple apps for the business and they have implemented a process with us that is tailored to our needs. We use several services in the Smartbooks chain, and they are all aces. Lori, Greg, Rebecca, Hollei, Tim, and especially Amanda who skillfully and efficiently resolves any issue. I feel lucky to have them and have no reservation recommending them. They are my essential workers!!

Affordable, high quality accounting and tax service. The name of the game is leveraging Smart books and their amazing staff so you can focus on your business. Your annual cost is very likely to be much less than what it would cost for you to hire someone, plus SmartBooks will never call in sick, quit, or steal ---- these are the top issues small business owners go through with office managers and accountants. I strongly recommend their service.

I am the controller for a software company in Cambridge. Been a controller for 20 years. I would not hesitate to use SmartBooks again in the future. My direct contact at SmartBooks, Kelly LaPrade, is the BEST - BY FAR - outside resource with whom I've had the experience of working. She and SmartBooks were incredibly responsive, thorough, detailed. I did not consider Kelly (and SmartBooks) as just an outside 3rd party resource. Kelly and SmartBooks were part of my TEAM. Great relationship that lasted over five years!
