We had the worst possible experience with Gary. We had hired him to design our new dream home and then to manage its construction. We had liked his initial plans despite him being late with delivery, always citing personal reasons. Problems started with permitting which instead of 4 weeks took 4 months. We were told that there were many things that are routinely provided to the town that were missing. He clearly had burnt bridges before with the building department who at some point refused to communicate with him. Every time they came back with a question it took him forever to respond. He does not use autocad!!!! anything that needs to be changed needs to be done by hand and takes forever. Not to mention his difficult communication style, he never takes responsibility or admits to mistakes. Any venders who would work with him would come back to us with comments. We ended up letting him go after an error in the foundation that needed costly repairs and he did not own up to his contribution to the problem (did not delineate a dimension so the engineer had to scale it leading to an error). He also does not stamp his own plans (has an engineer who does that for him)!!!

If I could give no stars, I would. Gary Vinciguerra did not work collaboratively with me on my small project: adding a room to my home. Simply put, he doesn't listen. He did not incorporate my vision for the space in his work. He was at least 2 weeks late with every stage promised and offered personal excuses for his failings; unprofessional and irrelevant. The design options he submitted were useless constructs of HIS vision for the space that took little of my input into consideration. The biggest example is that he put the addition in the WRONG location on my home; he didn't listen. Ultimately HE canceled the contract with no warning and no reason. He would not refund any of my deposit, so I took him to court. DO NOT HIRE GEV designs under any circumstances.
