No stars deserved for the aggressive marketing of, in particular, Cymbalta, generically know as duloxetine. I was put on this drug 15 years ago. It did nothing to alleviate my depressive and pain symptoms, so I decided to go off it. Only to find the side effects were so horrible I couldn't just stop. You may have heard of zapping, dysphoria, interrupted sleep with nightmares and hallucinations. My psych tried to switch me to a new drug and the symptoms were just as bad as cold turkey. After extreme fatigue and tiredness became intolerable, I'd had enough. I decided to titrate ( discontinue slowly) off the drug. It has taken me nine months of bead counting and enduring brain zapping and dysphoria, but I'm finally off it. However the zapping and dysphoria continue as of four days completely off the drug. This company aggressively marketed this drug on television with zero mention of potential harmful side effects when trying to quit. A class action suit was denied, so there's little legal recourse. As far as I'm concerned I'm owed years of life and energy that were stolen from me by the horrible drug. Also, there is zero support from this company to help folks like me. People have committed suicide, lives have been ruined. Another example of Big Pharma in it for the money and little else.
