I read the reviews and decided to go anyway. I called 3x 2 hours prior to the class to make sure it was running: no answer. When I arrived they said the instructor cancelled.

Green Street Studios gave me, bar-none, the best dance experience I've ever had. The facilities are spotless, the management staff are exceptionally accommodating, and the space compliments the classes in such a way that brings the artistry out of anybody (even me! a humble part-time dancer). I've never had anything but a joyful experience in this space & cannot speak more highly of it. I dealt with a studio manager named Eliza (I think?) who made the nights I spent there worry-free, full of creativity, and absolutely lovely. Green Street does it all & I couldn't recommend any other dance studio in Boston over this attentive staff, and beautiful space.

Unfortunately, workshops and classes were often cancelled without prior notice. When people showed up, there wasn't even a studio manager to apologize or offer to compensate. We had to learn from other renters that classes were cancelled.
For rehearsals, there were also times when the studio was locked and we couldn't go in, including dancers who made a trip over there. It did not happen only once, but over and over again. There was no one in the office to answer the phone when the door was locked. So the dancers did not get paid and we all wasted our time and lost our travel cost.

Recent: Just heard that this studio will be closing. They blame it on rent, but it's time for the board and management to look at an honest look at themselves in the mirror. What have they done that led to this? So many irresponsible managers went around that revolving door and didn't take responsibility for their work - they blamed it on having children, interns, etc. Come on, even if you have a child, you can still pick up the phone and unlock the door, can't you?! If your child is so demanding, then don't take the job and be lazy. These guys only cared about themselves and forgot that there were others who didn't get paid because of their irresponsible behavior. Operating at such irresponsible level, closing is the inevitable consequence.
