wow.....i was happy (but sad for you patients) to read about caritas medical group.  i, at least thought the st elizabeths hospital would offer better care, but now i see, it will not.  my mother was admitted to caritas medical center (formerly cardinal cushing hospital) in brockton with a cough....3 days later she was almost dead.  they had given her huge doses of antibiotics, protocol, they said.  however she was 88 at the time and it gave her severe diahrrea and vomitting to the point she was so dehydrated she was hallucinating.  i called them out on the fact she came to the hospital relatively fine and now, under their care, was almost dead. they gave her some anti nausea meds and asked me to pick her up.  of course they gave her no meds to take home so shortly after being home the vomitting and diahrrea started again.   also, they wanted to put a pacemaker in her.  when i questioned the cardiologist there regarding whether or not she really needed one he started yelling at me saying.."i don't know what you went thru as a child that you don't want to take advantage of modern medicine".   i found another cardiologist that had privelages at this hospital but was not affiliated with them for a second opinion and he said after looking at her ekg that she really wasnt a candidate for a pacemaker.  a simple rx for a low dose blood thinner would be quite sufficient.  WOW. this was going on 3 years ago and she is doing fine without a pacemaker.i am currently looking for a new primary for her out of a new hospital. thank you for your reviews....i was beginning to think it was just me....
