I was promised 5 weeks from start to finish on an addition. We had deadlines they did not meet. Two months later, only part of the foundation had been finished. Terrible job. Foundation off square, almost 2 feet shorter than existing house's foundation. Left a disastre all over the yard. After being fired for their extremely poor performance, Kevin sent me a bill for 7k over the amount of my deposit, just to avoid having to refund over 20k. He's also using a HIC that does not belong to Dunshenny Construction, and that's illegal in MA. Also, he's advertising being featured in an upcoming episode of a tv show on his website. That tv show was cancelled in Sept 2014, and I haven't been able to find anything related to this company on the archives of the tv show. Beware of these people

The only reason they even got a single star is because I had to rate it. This company has many faults, over priced, unprofessional, shoddy work, to name a few. We hired this company for a simple renovation of an upstairs attic space (400-500 sq. ft.) that we were converting into a studio apartment. We began construction in October of 2013 and the job was not completed until May of 2014. We had permit complications that added time however once we were approved to continue Kevin had accepted other jobs, which is understandable. However, it took another 3 months for him to complete work that could have been done in 1. It took so long that I had to do work myself (ripping up old floors boards, sanding, cutting and laying down plywood, and then laying down our new floors. A cost Kevin tried to include when he demanded more money. Also during this time, Kevin the contractor and owner of Dunshenny Construction, failed to return phone calls, lied about services and cost, and stole money. He demanded money from us before the job was completed stating that he needed the money in order to pay his workers. I made the mistake of paying him. Once he collected his money he did not return to complete the work, or answer any correspondence including multiple emails, texts, and phone calls. When he came for his last check we had scheduled an appointment for him to complete the work and he never showed up, never called, never reached out. I have to say that is partly my fault for paying him and expecting him to be professional and complete the work we paid him for. Lesson learned. During construction his workers left windows open during a winter storm and snow got into our apartment and damaged the downstairs condo leaving a lot of water damage on the ceiling. Kevin refused to fix his mistake and we had to hire another painting services to come in and fix his mistake. I understand that some projects go wrong and some people have different experiences, but as a person who rarely writes reviews, especially negatives one, I felt it important that people were aware of the type of "business" man Kevin is and how he conducts his company.
