Amazing fresh sushi and amazing hot plates. Uni and Oishii are 2 of my favorites in Boston - Basho is up there as well, 10/10 would recommend. The tuna was so fresh, vibrant red, absolutely amazing!

In terms of food, Korean inspired dishes were of much better quantity and quality with not weird portions. The Japanese side was not nearly as good (which is confusing considering its a Japanese grill.) the ramen wasnt spicy whatsoever, even by white standards, and the chicken teriyaki was just chicken and teriyaki sauce on top, barely any cooking seemed involved there. Overall, get Korean food here, not Japanese

A restaurant this close to Fenway simply has no business being this good. Sure there are some other exceptions, but most in the area are able to bask in touristy complacency. Not Basho. The entire small plates menu is killer. I particularly liked the lighter-than-air wonton wrapped shrimp tacos. Be warned that the cocktails are tooth-dissolvingly sweet.
