My service with this company has been sub-par following the salesperson closing on me. Not only have they failed to get my doorbell properly operational (I’ve had it for a year and without stable connectivity the entire time) I now have to pay to have a technician troubleshoot. It’s not as if it was working consistently and failed, they never got it operational to be begin with so why do I have to pay $99 / hour for a technician to come out? They also call me repetitively to tell me about my loss of signal, which is a constant reminder that the doorbell hasn’t been installed properly. Today they called me to tell me they received a “closing signal†at 3am, while I was sleeping. When asking the person who called me what this means, her response was “I don’t know, I’ll transfer you to service.†I was on hold for about 10 minutes (mind you, they called me) and was connected to billing. Then that person told me he was told I had a billing question. Not only did I not call, but I didn’t have a billing question but now I’m concerned as to why they are receiving any signals from my residence while I’m sleeping. So now I have no answers, more questions and my frustrations are through the roof. I will absolutely be leaving this company and going with ADT. Services: Installation, Technical support

Currently on hold for the second time today with broken alarm system that is going off at random times. Company refuses to fix it today and can't seem to turn it off. Do not use this company if you value your time or your sleep.

I have had a very bad experience with Alarm New England. Less than a year ago, they installed their fire alarm monitoring equipment in my 2-family duplex. It does not work! I am now stuck in a 3-year contract. Prior to the installation of their system, we had hard-wired smoke detectors installed, which were inspected and tested by our local fire dept. I wanted the peace of mind knowing that if there was a fire in my home or in my tenant's unit - and I was not home - that our fire dept and I would be notified by their monitoring center. This year alone, I have had *3* instances (due to tenant's careless cooking) in which my hard-wired detectors were activated, but neither my local fire dept, nor I were notified by their central monitoring center!!!! After the first time, Alarm New England sent out a technician. They found "no problems," and then they *billed me* for this service call because as they said, "there was no problem with their equipment." And they advertise a "1-year warranty". After the second time their monitoring system failed, I told them I wanted to cancel the contract. They said it couldn't be cancelled unless I paid a huge cancellation fee.
