Nice little place with a lengthy menu. My friend an I had Pho. Both were very tasty with a decent amount of meat but it did have some peices of fat :(. Would go back.

Chicken Curry Vermicelli Soup is AWESOME! Very flavorful. Fresh Lime soda is a good choice too. If soup is not your thing, go for the special house clay hotpot. Served in a hot clay bowl, mix-ins get caramelized to the sides, phenomenal. I go to eat in Chinatown at least once a week, and this place is by far my favorite!

A lot of people seem to like this place and yes, the food is pretty good, relatively cheap, and service is quick. But having moved from LA, the Vietnamese food here just doesn't compare. The bun bo hue was large, the broth spicy but not that deep in flavor. The beef was on the chewy side. It still hit the spot, but you can find better - maybe not in Boston, but elsewhere.
They were closing at 9pm and turning guests away that came 15-20 minutes before closing.

Dirty & Bad tasting food. Very fast and friendly though.

The outside of Xinh Xinh is rather depression compared to some of its neighbors. Inside, it's the standard Chinatown-type of restaurant - nothing luxurious, just the basics. I ordered the Com Suon with chicken. My buddy already ate, so he was just going to have water. Unfortunately, the restaurant policy is $5 minimum per person, so that forced me to order a bowl of soup. Boo, but a valid reason to order more food for me!
My main dish was actually quite good - I missed the lemongrass, but the chicken was grilled perfectly to just the right amount of char. The portion size was also decent and was definitely much better than other higher priced restaurants near Harvard Square.
