At the same time, J S D 's new studio has a lovely warmth and intimacy that lends itself to a very personalized experience. After seven years, he still keeps all the attention on me and I still feel the glow after each appointment!

Great stylist and very knowledgeable. They know whats the best cut and color for my hair very fashionable. I learned more about my hair and how can i take good care of it.

A friend of mine recommended signing up for the Umi model call and it was the best decision I've ever made. Umi has a fabulous atmosphere with great music and all of the stylists are so down to earth. Trish did my hair while one of the regular stylists observed. I learned more about my hair and what it can do in the hour I was at Umi than I have in my 30 years of going to stylists. I was not treated as second class because I was there as a nonpaying customer as someone previously said of their experience. I will definitely return to Umi as a regular customer for life.

Phenomenal. This hair salon absolutely deserves all the awards and praise it has received. My stylist was Nate Silveira, who is supposedly one of the more junior stylists but gave me the best color and cut I ever got. (Yes, really. And I liked to look good before.) He knew what was not so great about my previous color & cut within seconds of looking at my hair and it was obvious from the comments he made that he has been trained very carefully by The Boss. He executed his plan to improve my hairstyle to perfection. He was very nice and, in addition to making me look absolutely fantastic, showed me a better way to blow-dry my hair than what I’d been doing. What more can I ask for? Oh, and I got a free espresso while he was preparing my hair color. I liked that the salon has genuine personality and is decorated with a strong sense of style (all-white décor, employees all in black, one bouquet of pink roses by the front desk for color.) The overall “vibe” is that the employees take pride in delivering exceptional hair-coloring/cutting/styling and frankly, they are amazingly skilled at what they do. So happy to have found them!
