An absolute scam. You pay for them to come out, then they with hold the report until you pay for that, then need to pay an iron work they know, then pay for them to over see the job. Do yourself a favor and just contact an iron worker directly.

Al is right. What is worse, they will turn you in to the city if you let them do a "free" inspection. Then they will hound the city until you are cited, or forced to hire them under threat of citation. That is part of their sales scam. Yes it is a scam. Sucking up to city inspectors is part of their business system. I could go on and on, but for now, that will do.

I don’t know if I would qualify this company as a “scam” but I was not confident of their reports. In 2011 they did an inspection and it passed, all good. In 2016 they repeated the inspection and the fire escape failed. But not in one way- it seemed that they found fault with everything. And they slapped notices all over the fire escape that it was unfit. Mind you, I am the only tenant, so I felt this was a pressure tactic. When they quoted me 7K worth of repairs I felt like it was a bit of a hard sell. I went with another company who agreed that the fire escape needed 7K repair (and thought the notices were overkill) but I at least didn’t feel like it was a pressure tactic. We did the repairs with another company. Now I’m due for another inspection and I think I’ll try another inspector. Just not sure they built my trust although in the end they might have been correct but the way it went down and the notices were to me a bit of a pressure tactic.
