Encore Bed and Breakfast

We had a great experience over presidents day weekend. David greeted us when we arrived for an early baggage drop off so we could explore the city. Instead of just dropping our bags, we were guided to our room, which was ready for us as an early check-in. It was great to be able to drop off our luggage and freshen up after our flight before going out exploring. Our room (Albee) was spacious, and even had a reading nook. If it had been warmer we would have enjoyed the balcony, though the views were still nice. We found it quite quiet on the top floor. Breakfast is the real gem here. There is a nice selection to choose from, including fresh pastries from a local bakery. David was attentive at breakfast every day, making sure our breakfast was ready at our requested time, and our coffee cups were never empty while we were sitting. David was also ready every morning with tips about nearby restaurants and stories of his theatre adventures. The B&B is located perfectly for exploring the city of Boston, but is still in a realatively quiet neighbourhood so you can get away from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely be staying here again.

Nice hosts, well designed rooms (ours was designed in a 1970ies, Woody Allen film set style) and excellent European-style breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay at the Encore. Definilety recommended.

3 stars cause this place has potential, the staff is super friendly and breakfast is awesome. But the bed was hard as a rock. So hard I still have back pain a few days later. Rooms are pretty basic (bed & bathroom with tv) but all their pillows and duvet are feather filled, something I think they should clearly state on their website/booking sites ads. I wish I knew it before we booked being allergic. So if you are allergic I and have a bad back, I wouldn't recommend this place. Any other situtation, just go for it even if I think $165 for a night for this is way too high.
