Shiro

Shiro is the best sushi in the metrowest area. They have authentic Japanese professionals in the kitchen. The restraunt is in a house in Berlin (near Hudson), with a quaint atmosphere. Love this place!

Much better than standard sushi. Fresh live sea urchin if you like that sort of thing. I do. Funny looking place. An old converted house. Don't miss it.

This is the best sushi I've had since moving to MA. The Yakisoba is delicious, and the fact that they don't give you spoons for the miso soup makes me very happy. In Japan, soup is for slurping! I highly recommend it for anyone along the 495 corridor. Just beware of the dirt parking lot when it rains.

Come here for the food, not the atmosphere. The sushi, along with everything else tried at Shiro is super fresh and reasonably priced. This place is the real deal food-wise. With that being said, the "restaurant" is in a house. The first floor has been cleared to make room for a small amount of tables and a sushi bar but there's no denying you're eating your dinner in what was someone's living room at a point in time. It's not like going to a regular restaurant where the white noise of the other patrons and restaurant goings on kind of meld together in a hum that leaves you to enjoy your conversation in peace. So if you're looking for authentic and yummy Japanese food, definitely check it out; if you're looking to loudly debate politics, perhaps try another venue. Sushi and politics probably shouldn't mix anyway.
