        Nightmare! From being wildly overcharged for a multi-item order to facing sarcasm and hostility when I asked that she complete work on a LONG-delayed piece, the experience was massively unpleasant. I never retrieved the item (which had been paid for) because I couldn't face the notion of interacting with this person again. Please spare yourself!

        I’m both a customer and student at this wonderful studio/shop in Sheffield. Shandell’s is a go-to resource for designers and homeowners in search of custom lampshades, lamps and lamp repairs. The owner, Susan Schneider, collaborates closely with customers on each project, and transforms everyday items into objects of delight. Susan is also a superb paper marbler, and in addition to a line of stationery and gifts for the home, she handcrafts leather goods and scarves that are wearable works of art. She also offers workshops in the ancient art of paper marbling which can be a great gift for a friend or group of friends living in or visiting the Berkshires. A must-visit when you are in the area.
