I first came to Nusmiles a few years ago, right at the beginning of the pandemic. I was in a Zoom work meeting and broke a tooth while snacking on mute. The last place I wanted to be during that time was in a dentist's office with my mouth gaping open. But I bit the bullet, figuratively speaking, and called Nusmiles. Dr. Catchings saw me that day. The staff members are all nice. Dr. Catchings faced some challenges while working with my broken tooth. He saved it and fixed it with a crown. The office is conveniently located near the Sligo Creek Trail. The view from the dental chair is the greenery adjacent to the trail and I found that calming.

Best dentist ever! Dr. Dozier has been my daughters dentist since she was 3/4...she's 15 now! Very attentive and knows her patients. Her specialty is pediatrics. I love that she's also very proactive with my daughter and will go that extra mile. My daughter has wisdom teeth with one extra that needs to come out. She's referred us to get them removed, as she sees they will be problematic. Her staff is awesome and knows their patients. If you're looking for a dentist with a family feel...call Nu Smiles in Takoma Park!

A great 1st experience with NuSmiles. We've lived in the area for almost 2yrs and have a dentist but due to COVID-19 we skipped our scheduled appointment for safety. When we couldn't family appts get in until the end of the year we contacted NuSmiles and they got us right in. Great service, safety protocols in place, and a thorough and friendly staff. Everyone was pleasant and professional. We'll be back

This dentist, Gregory Catchings, is in the practice of recommending unnecessary dental work, for his profit and to the detriment of his patients' health. My wife and I had appointments here last year, and he told us each that multiple fillings were necessary. We went to see other dentists before posting a negative review, in case he was right. But, as we had suspected, his recommendations were baseless -- two other dentists have confirmed that no fillings were necessary for either of us. Dr. Catchings simply wanted to increase his margins. Fortunately we avoided the risk of unnecessary dental work, though I did make the mistake of allowing them to do full mouth x-rays, which were totally unnecessary radiation. This kind of practice deeply unethical.
