Zen Windows of Washington, DC

My wife and I wanted to replace french doors and side windows with a big sliding glass door with a screen. We got estimates from several big name suppliers in the area before calling Scott at Zen Windows. His estimate was much lower than the others, and I was also impressed with his approach, so we went with him. We couldn't be happier. The communication with Scott was outstanding and the door is perfect. This is my first on-line review of any kind, but wanted to pass on our respect for Zen Windows. Five stars.

I needed to replace three special order windows. I found zen windows online so I decided to check them out. The quote process was fast and easy, the order process was also fast. Receiving the windows took a long time due to nationwide delays. When I reached out for status they responded within minutes. They were very nice and professional every time. When they received the windows they called me and two days later they did the installation. The install was fast and they did a very good job. The owner stopped by to make sure everything was good, so very personal service.

I absolutely love the whole processes. Unlike other big names, Mr. Scott didn’t push at all. No sale pitch and other hidden fees. Everything was transparent. When I requested a estimate, he contacted me that evening and stopped by in two days. He spent less than 20 min to measure windows sizes roughly. That was it! He sent me a quote next day and the price was really competitive. We communicated via emails for several questions and he answered them all quickly. He gave me enough time to make the final decision. Like I mentioned earlier, no pressure. Once I made the decision and signed contract, the actual contractor came by to measure everything accurately. After waiting several months (it took longer than I expected because of the pandemic), windows and sliding door finally arrived and set up the installation date. The installation contractor, Mr. Park’s team, is absolutely great. They were professional and their workmanship is beyond expectation. Several occasions, his team confronted some issues and they explained them clearly and found ways to get jobs done. His team cleaned all debris both inside and outside. I noticed that my front and backyards were cleaner than before. In less than two days, 11 windows and 1 sliding door were finally installed. They all look beautiful and I am more than satisfied, I will absolutely hire them again for any future projects! Update... Since I was so satisfied with the new windows from Zen Windows, I decided to replace the front door and the storm door. Again the process to get a quote was quick transparent and Scott never urged or pushed me. After confirming what I needed, it was all set. On the day of installation (waiting time was much shorter than windows), a son and father team arrived on time. They started removing doors and frames quickly. Their workmanship was exceptional and meticulously detail-oriented. They cut door frame moulding precisely so it looked seamless. They also removed damaged panels and replaced it perfectly. They also installed a new door bell button and house numbers (I got them while they were working on doors). Every time I go out and come back home, I feel like I live in a new house. Again I'm so happy with the result and will recommend Zen Windows to anyone planning for windows and door replacement.

Zen Windows replaced my front door and storm/screen door. Entire process was the best of any home improvement project I've ever been involved with (smooth, easy, informed, pressure-free). Price was lower than both of the other 2 estimates I obtained for the same products, and of the 3 companies, only Zen didn't require a deposit. It was a pleasure dealing with Scott (the owner) who was very knowledgeable, patient with my many questions, and easy to work with. The 2 men who installed the doors were outstanding craftsmen. I would descibe them as perfectionists. Overall, an outstanding experience. I'm very happy with the process and outcome.

Zen Windows should be the go to window vendor for home owners in the DC area. No obnoxious 3 hour sales pitch, no haggling on the price, just a straight forward quote! Their installation team was super friendly, COVID conscious and fast/effective. We got quotes from some bigger window vendors and after multiple 2-3 hour sales pitches, they still didn't even give us as good of a price as Zen Windows did.
