Cracovia Contracting

Darius and Cracovia Contracting did a great job fixing our aging deck. They replaced rotting boards, built a lattice fence with removable door panel for under the deck, fixed our broken fence door, secured the deck rails, and stained the whole deck. They were great to work with, professional, and always adhered to the latest Covid guidance. We found them to be reasonably priced and cost conscious, always consulting us before taking on any additional expenses. They also came back several times to fix a minor issue with the deck stain, making sure we were happy with the final product at no additional cost. Definitely recommend these guys. Cracovia Contracting did a fantastic job painting our exterior stucco and trim as well as repairing/replacing damaged wood trim and realigning/rehanging our front door. As former customers from multiple projects over the past 18-20 years, we knew that we could trust Darius and his team to once again provide excellent service! Cracovia repaired & stained my deck railings and stairs, including some cement work. The deck looks better than when it was new and has never felt as sturdy as it does now. Darius gave me a good estimate, kept work/change orders to a minimum, and he and Josek were very safety conscious and polite: I hardly knew they were there most of the time, despite working from home. Josek clearly knew what he was doing, no short cuts, and did a great job!

Cracovia was recommended by someone on my local Listserv as a company who could help with major deck repairs (it was a 70% replacement...I knew that going in). I did privately correspond with the person who recommended them to check all the details of the work they did. I have a LOT of experience with contractors [I have gone through 2 complete kitchen remodels and I redid a large part of my current home] and I'll share the highlights with you: 1) they tell you exactly what they are going to do and then do it. 2) They tell you when they'll show up and then show up on time and explain how long they'll be there and what they're doing. 3) If there are any issues with the job, they'll take the time to explain and share pictures with you. 4) Their workmanship is excellent. They have been in business for a while (over 20 years). They may not come up first when you look for reviews but I'm here to recommend them. If you have any questions about whether they do a specific type of project, Darius can probably show you pictures of what he's done that's similar and give you specs and a price. In terms of price, I knew everything before any work was done. The prices they charged I knew in advance and I think were completely reasonable, particularly during the current times. I am actively considering having them do more work on my house, including replacing large front facing windows in my living room. And they wrote me a thank you card.....that was a first.
