Due to privacy concerns, Ill be concise: I would rather live in my car (and Im a parent who has never been anywhere close to that situation). Its so bad even the mailman laughed when he saw how quickly we moved out. He knew all about the problems there! I was there for a very short amount of time and during that time it went from being a seemingly dreamy apt to the BANE of my existence over night! These ppl will gaslight you and pretend that the place isnt full of roaches like I discovered on night one. I was traumatized I havent experienced that since I was a little girl. Then someone from my floor who was going to be moving out too told me he had mice how on earth a relatively new property is so bad, idk? Other things seem fine but are not and Ive held in the fact that I got out of there so fast and that Im doing a disservice to others looking to rent by not telling my story. Just believe that there is better out there and Im blessed to now be where I am without freaking roaches or a pissy elevator or Mr flamboyant in the leasing office and his attitude or lack of care for anyone. Joyse, was helpful by the time we were begging to get out after a few days but not enough to where I would write her the positive review she requested

I have been living here for about 2 months now. The neighborhood is beautiful. Lots of nice parks and restaurants. However, there are a few things that I dont like. I dont think the building complex its kids friendly. People complain a lot even for the smallest reasons. The apt I moved in is infested with roaches and I have been trying to get rid of them by leaving all clean and adding different stuff to kill them. But I always find one or two or more.. people seem to smoke a lot so my kids closet smells like weed all the time. The walls are thin and so you can hear everything. I wish I didnt have to deal with those roaches because it takes away my peace. I have to wake up all night just to make sure I dont see them but yes, like I said there is always one or two. Not sure if the people who used to live here were not clean or my other neighbors are not cleaning.

When I first moved in, this was a pleasant place to live, but it became unbearable by the time I moved out in 2023. Every negative review that predated my move in eventually turned out to be true, and things have only gotten worse since then. The leasing office is either incompetent or dishonest. I had to threaten to sue to get my security deposit back because they still had not returned it more than 50 days after the end of the lease (45 days is the legal limit in Maryland), and it took me two weeks of calling and emailing to get anybody to talk to me about what was going on. They also reneged on a verbal deal we had worked out when I initially thought I would be breaking the lease early due to starting a new job in a different area, so I left the apartment vacant for the final 1.5 months of the lease because it was cheaper than paying to break the lease. This is not to mention the unruly and aggressive behavior of other tenants. Tenants allow their dogs to do their business in the hallways and are extremely rude. Another tenant screamed in my face for wearing a mask during Covid. The floors and walls are tissue-thin, and you can hear everything your neighbors do. Trash is just left in the hallways for days or weeks at a time. People drive recklessly in the garage, which led to several accidents while I lived there, and there are no cameras to catch culprits. I myself had a 6-inch long gouge put into my bumper while I was on vacation. The non-smoking policy is also a joke. As somebody with asthma and migraines, the smell of marijuana infiltrating my apartment from my neighbors smoking made living here not just unpleasant, but dangerous to my health. Management made little effort to stop it or enforce any of the rules in the leases, unless you count writing toothless emails to be effort. Even if you can get somebody in the leasing office to take you seriously, theyll be gone within a month. I was a model tenant and yet I couldnt get management to take me seriously, take a record of requests Id made, or even remember my name. They instead addressed replies to my emails about move out procedures to hey. I dont consider myself to be a stickler for etiquette, but thats rather rude even in this day and age. I wouldnt tell my worst enemy to live here after the headaches that management and other tenants have (literally and figuratively) caused me. Look elsewhere for your physical and mental health, especially if your respiratory health matters to you, since the smoking policy must only be enforced even more poorly now that recreational marijuana use is legal in Maryland. Im sure there will be some concerned reply to this review telling me to email the office, but they had every opportunity to correct the issues Ive outlined here, since all current tenants knew that these were ongoing issues and I contacted them personally about the smoking issues and security deposit. They simply ignored my emails and all of these issues. Their chance to have a better review was years ago, when I asked for these issues to be fixed the first 5 or 10 times.

My experience living at Bainbridge Shady Grove Apartments has been nothing short of exceptional. From the outset, the leasing office staff made me feel welcome and made the move-in process seamless and stress-free. The location of Bainbridge Shady Grove is unbeatable. Nestled in a peaceful neighborhood, yet close to the Shady Grove Metro, it offers easy access to Washington, D.C., and the surrounding areas. Whether you're commuting to work or exploring the city on the weekend, the convenience is unparalleled. One of the things I appreciate most is the sense of community here. The staff go above and beyond to ensure residents are happy and engaged, fostering a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The maintenance team is also prompt and efficient, addressing any issues quickly and effectively. From the moment I started the leasing process to my recent move-out, the level of service and community atmosphere here has been outstanding. A significant part of this positive experience can be attributed to the exceptional apartment management, especially Joyce, the community manager. Her professionalism, kindness, and efficiency have made all aspects of my living experience, from move-in to move-out, incredibly smooth and pleasant.
