Empire Professional Pharmacy & Medical Equipment

I have a chronic autoimmune disease and allergies which requires a careful balance with what medications I can take and how they are managed. I have never had a problem with a pharmacist calling my specialists and confirming my treatment but this one denied my medication because she doesn't agree with it. The pharmacist is not my doctor and does not understand my disease. I wish I were informed ahead of time that this pharmacy overrides doctors for their own conscientious objections. It has caused a great inconvenience with my work which I travel for and getting my care so I can continue working. I suggest Empire Pharmacy post their policy and discuss it with new clients before agreeing to serve them then changing their minds.

This pharmacy is amazing- really. They care about their patients!! Ive been using them for years and they are incredibly knowledgeable and always up-to-date on the medications Im taking. Over the years, there have been dozens of times my medication has changed due to insurance reasons and they always work it out and handle my medication changes on my behalf. They arent required to do this and its pretty time consuming- they still do it. Their integrity is above and beyond. I would come out of pocket (if need be) to continue using this pharmacy!
