Chesapeake Urology - The Prostate Center at Gaithersburg

Since this is a part of the overall Chesapeake Urology, it'd be natural to expect proper communication between the branches. Regrettably the communication is NOT happening, causing patients TIME and MONEY. 3 possible reasons here: 1. doctor did not listen; 2. doctor did not understand and didn't bother to confirm his understanding; 3. it all lost in communication between the branches. Net result is: 2 meaningless appointments for less than 5 minutes to discuss things we had no intention discuss. Hope this helps.

When I found out my prostate cancer diagnosis, I was concerned but not worried because I knew my wife would find me great care. When we first encountered the staff at both offices it was a wonderful experience. Most of all, it was the staff at the Radiation Center(Gabby, Jennifer, David, Anita, and Sara) who treated me like a person and not just a patient. I enjoyed each one of our daily conversations and interactions with one another. Lastly Dr. Skinner is "The Man" he made understanding the procedure an ease by handling it like a conversation and not a Death March. I would most definitely recommend Chesapeake Urology to anyone who would listen!

Dr. Skinner and his staff are excellent! My husband had treatments for several months. He does not like many doctors, but immediately bonded with Dr. Skinner. Dr. Skinner and Nurse Lyonne are knowledgeable and personable. They made our visits pleasant. I immediately bonded with Gabi, the Administrator, as she was so patient and helpful, the phone number was a direct line to her desk, and calls were always returned promptly. Dealing with cancer is not easy, but Dr. Skinner and his team gently take you through the process. Thank you all for your care and support! We are forever grateful!!
