This store has such potential - an extensive collection of supplies, a good location, reasonable(-ish) prices. Unfortunately, the owner is in entirely the wrong business.
I was buying a variety of gradebooks for my friend so that he could pick the best fit for his needs. Upon reaching the counter, I inquired about the return policy - no returns on books. Before I responded, he went on to say that this was because people tore pages out of books to copy them and then returned them. I apologized for the actions of others and mentioned that it was a pity, as he was now losing over $20 of business. He then shouted back at me, "No I am not because you would have ruined them and then returned them!" I know three things about me: 1) I am horrible with returning unused items, and he likely would never have had to issue me a refund in the first place; 2) I am not a vandal; and 3) I share my opinion with others, so hopefully this irresponsible outburst causes him more than a $20 loss in profit. (I should have listened to the reviewer before me!)
I strongly encourage educators to patronize other businesses so that eventually someone else will be forced to take over management of this facility.
