Warby Parker has a ridiculous policy that states they will not replace the lenses in glasses which are retired EVEN IF they still sell the same frames in a different color. For example, my Warby Parker glasses are still sold in stores, but not in the exact same color. The customer service representative explained that while everything else is exactly same, the size dimensions, the shape, etc. they will not replace the lenses simply because they no longer sell the frames in THAT exact color. This policy is frustrating because they obviously have all the parts necessary to easily switch the lenses, they just prefer to squeeze extra money out of you because of a retired color. This shows how little they care about the customer as well as how little they care about the environment by forcing customers to have to trash the non-biodegradable frames instead of just replacing their lenses. Please work on updating your policies to reflect fairness towards the customer. I would like to continue purchasing from Warby Parker as well as continue referring people who compliment my glasses to them. But after learning about this unfair and inconvenient policy, I will no longer do either. I would like to add that this review is in no way a reflection of the excellent customer service I received from Nikia in the store. She remained professional and kind despite my justified frustration with the policy. Another great reason to fix this policy is for your employees. They are the ones who have to face the backlash of upset customers who, reasonably, are offended by this injudicious policy. We had a great experience with Warby Parker. The optician. Was very friendly and knowledgeable. There is a great selection of frames to close from and our glasses were delivered in 3 days.
