Regency Beauty Institute in Gaithersburg, MD provides an awesome customer service experience. They have great staff who provide great instructional education for the students. The problem with this school is the level of tolerance for prejudice comments in the classroom setting that is highly offensive. There is always something about race, religion or sexual orientation being made fun of in the class rooms and even with "So Called" write ups, Today was another day of the same drama. ---Current Disgusted Student.

I'm not sure how many stars to give this school, now. I had a positive experience here. But I was also unaware of any tolerance for prejudice in the classroom, as reported by a student of the school in another review on the site. I didn't witness anything, myself; then again, as a customer, I would have been pretty surprised to. The allegations are troubling and, if true, would be enough to prevent me from returning. As far as my experience while there, I received very attentive service, I was happy with my results, and - especially with the special they were running at the time - the price was unbeatable. The student who cut & coloured my hair was treated kind of like a rock star by the owner, who praised her highly in front of me. When I walked in, the owner immediately suggested her, especially for the colour. This could mean nothing at all, but she, the owner and I are all white. There was only one other student on the floor at the time, an African-American girl quietly practicing hairstyles on a "mannequin". I recall saying hello and making conversion, as neither the owner nor the student doing my hair had acknowledged her presence, and I was there for a couple of hours, all told.
