Kehne's Carpet One Floor & Home

Ordered carpet for my townhouse basement in Nov and specified I wanted it installed before Christmas. About a week before Christmas I was told that the mill wouldn't have my carpet ready in time. However, Daryl offered a higher priced carpet, almost the same color, at the lower price I had agreed to for the first carpet. I happily accepted. Carpet installation is hard work and I expected a few young men to show up to do the work. To my surprise the two men who showed up were not particularly young. I won't speculate on their ages, but one told me he had been installing carpets for over 40 years. They did an excellent job so experience was a plus. I couldn't find a seam and when I asked to have one pointed out, I still couldn't clearly see it. I'd shop there again.

Nice people but they have a problem with installation. We purchased carpet from Kehne's in 2016 and had a bad installation. The installer left large seams in the bedroom and hall and laid carpet very unevenly on our finished wood stairs. Kehne's sent installers three times to correct this. We purchased carpet for our basement in October of 2018. The scheduled install date was Dec 23rd, we had to delay, we weren't ready. Kehne's promised and then reneged on several dates in January, we settled on Jan 16th. On Jan 15th we were told that the carpet that had arrived in November was defective and that a new carpet would be expedited. Several dates for this installation were suggested but did not take place. There was a constant cycle of installation date followed by a call to reschedule because the carpet hadn't been shipped from the manufacturing site in Georgia. We finally canceled the order, Kehne's refunded our money and we contracted with another local company.

Amazing guy Frederick and the people mean the world to him. His family has a long legacy in the town an he's done amazing work in my house

Not happy at all! They had our rugs in warehouse for months and now when it's time to install this coming Monday, they call us saying there's something wrong with the color.
