Way better! Everything was great. Shrimp Asian tacos were killer! Steak sandwich was delicious but the teres major needed to be cut smaller. It was chewy and became a knife and fork meal....but super delicious. Other wins were the Rachel and the crab and scallop Caesar salad! Service was outstanding.
We are regular visitors to Lures and it's one of our go-to's. Yesterday was an anomaly. Smoked reuben was killer. The swordfish piccata special was also well-liked. BUT, I had the special "sunken-burrito". It wasn't special. It was mostly rice in a flour tortilla garnished with tasty ground beef and fajita veg & corn, but just not enough of either. The green sauce on top was bland. There was a very small helping of pico and guac. The guac was good, the pico had no flavor nor heat. Traditionally, a sunken burrito is basically a baked burrito served enchilada style. This was a bland, flavorless, rice burrito with the aformentioned "condiments" instead of fillings. This was a fail. Sorry Lures, but this wasn't good. There's plenty of better things on the regular menu for $18. This isn't specials-worthy.
