The Village at Augsburg–A National Lutheran Community

I will forever be grateful for excellent care My husband received for his short term Rehab at Resorts of Augsburg. The Social Workers, Nurses and Therapists were kind, patient and very knowledgeable in getting him back to walking again. This was a new Experience for me but Social Worker Ms. Erin Price help me through the process with great comfort. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who needs Rehabilitation. It's clean, smells fresh and all the Staff is great.

The staff could not have been kinder or more helpful in the rehab department. My elderly mother stayed there for two weeks after a hospital stay for a fall. Everyone -- nursing staff, PT/OT specialists, doctors, rehab director and social workers -- was responsive and supportive as we navigated the best next steps for my mom. I particularly appreciated the comprehensive care for all facets of health, not just the physical aspects. Recommend highly.

Do your research before moving your loved one here. No longer is the Village at Augsburg. (The previous facility belonging to the Lutheran community was in huge debt for several years). Memory care became nothing like what we signed up for. Lack of communication with management and new owners with residents/families. Other problems/issues too many to list. Just check and double check this is really where you want to move your mom and dad for any type of memory care. I wouldnt recommend to anyone.

I reached out back in January 2023 to inquire about services for my grandmother. Nancy responded back, was very pleasant, gave me information and was very helpful. She followed up in June 22, 2023 to see if we were still interested and at that point, I informed Nancy that my grandmother was able to maintain her independence at her senior co-op and we were no longer in need of services. There was NO RESPONSE. But magically Nancy contacted me via phone on July 6, being very pushy. I informed her that I responded back to the email she sent, however she wasnt concerned about that, she was more concerned about still having me waste my time and take a tour. I declined to do so and she proceeded to be pushy and stated she would call back in a few months. I made it very clear to her that Im not interested in recieving follow ups as weve made our decision and I had to end the conversation passive aggressively or else she would have continued on and on. Her being very pushy now has me happy that we didnt bring her here. Its clear they may not be doing well and trying to fill beds but being pushy will forever and always be a turn off.
