This place is trying to be cute with fancy ingredients (free range chicken, wild shrimp, Roseda beef, etc.) and whimsical preparations but falls completely flat. Honestly, I'd choose No. 1 Chinese Kitchen before ordering from this place again (and that's saying a lot). I was excited about this place but last night's dinner will be the last. Both meals (Kung pao chicken and Szechuan chicken) were covered - excessively - with burnt-tasting and VERY salty sauces that really made the dishes inedible. My Szechuan chicken had enough peppers to kill a small Buddha. I like very spicy food but the peppers in this dish almost hid the other flavors. I tossed mine after eating about half and my wife packed hers up after a few bites, looked at me and said "I'm hungry." The chicken seemed like it is grilled which just doesn't work in a Chinese dish. The wonton soup was terrible and not at all what I was hoping for when I placed that order. Aside from having some odd ingredients (all of which I knew going in, but I didn't expect them to dominate the soup), like huge slivers of water chestnut, spinach and shrimp, the broth was super salty and had too much of what tasted like ginger. I will say that the wonton itself was very tasty. This place needs to rethink its strategy or it will be another of Hampden's forgottens.

Amazing! Great food and great atmosphere. Egg rolls are twice the size and four times as good. Got the General Nick, took less than 5 minutes to be served and it was perfect.

Portions are very small for everything, especially for the price. Only received 3 wontons for the $8 "lump" crab rangoons, very small and no lump. Shrimp toast was $8+, no shrimp in sight and very small portions in a big plastic container. Wish I would've taken pics. Chose shrimp for the protein in our entree, there were maybe 5 total shrimp. A couple of the shrimp were barely bite sized. The rice that came with the entree could've fit in a pudding cup. The best part of the meal was the edamame, which was the cheapest and filled the cardboard container to the top. Very disappointed. Will go back to our trusty, non flashy spot (China Moon) that is always on point and last us for days. Stick with what you know.
