When visiting Annapolis, visit Jalapeos! My new favorite place. Spanish style restaurant with flare. Dont let the outside strip mall window scare you! The stunning beauty of this restaurant feels like Spain. Lots of space for large parties & children. Prices range fair to great! An entire menu section devoted to tapas! Flavorful Food is thoughtfully and beautifully prepared. The warm atmosphere is friendly and inviting. My friend ordered chicken and I had chile relleno. The beans & rice were delicious and delicately seasoned. The chicken chile relleno was smothered in tangy salsa verde and cooked perfectly. While I would have preferred larger pieces of chicken instead of shredded chicken, the dish worked. It's not spicy and not over salted. Felt full and satisfied. We will return to try more dishes.

I have no pictures this time, but I'll be going back and updating my review. The food was good. I love tapas. Service was equally good. I will be giving it another try with kids to comment on whether it is also appropriate and approved by little ones. Flan was good. The scallops in saffron were great. Ceviche Acapulco is a no repat from me, though, since it was stingy in seafood, abundant in yummy sauce. But I can make that at home, and I've had it in countless places that did a better job. The shrimp seemed to have been pre-cooked and not by lemon juice, so a bit of a let-down
