The answering service is super rude and they towed my car and locked it up on a weekend with no communication or attempt to give us a call so we could give them payment and get our kids things and a breathing machine out of the car. I would never use this towing company ever again if they were the last ones.

I don’t usually vent, but these guys played me. If you need your car towed, DO NOT GO TO AC Towing!!!During my accident two Thursdays ago in Hallowell, AC towing, picked up my car and just left. I was not told of how much the towing fee was nor how much the storage fees were until I picked up my car this past Friday. Only THEN did they tell me that it was $50 per day it sat there in storage and that the towing fee was $300 (from Hallowell to West Gardiner 🙄). So I went there to get my stuff out of my car and to make a plan to get my car, and they refused to let me get things out of my own car unless I had my title with me (I had some confidential things in the trunk of my car). They did not own my car and are not allowed to keep it hostage. I had them talk to my dad over the phone and they told him that they would help us out and take 5 storage days off, so I should’ve only needed to pay about $450, but they lied and charged me a total of $900, this was AFTER my car sat there for a week with me not being informed of what the prices were. Not only were they not informing me of what their prices were, they were also very rude and snarky towards me.So I called them today. I told them that they were required to tell me what the charges would be beforehand by law. The guy over the phone told me that I should have known and that they’re not required to tell me what their prices are. He also told me I would not be getting my money back and to call Hallowell PD.

We got a tow at the request of an androscoggin county sheriff. 2 young men showed up, refused to tow the vehicle to the Leeds address we requested because it was "too far" (13 miles) and said it would have to go to their shop in Gardiner....which is more than 13 miles.... When they finally agreed to tow the 3.3 miles to a friends house instead they went to strap the steering wheel down but were then found looking under our seats and rummaging through the interior. They then charged us 200 dollars for the 3.3 miles. When we called to ask about rates and why we were charged this amount they were rude and couldnt give us a straight answer as to how their pricing was determined. When asked to speak to a manager we were laughed at and hung up on. Totally unreasonable, unprofessional and SHADY.
