Miane Gold and Silver

Customer service is terrible. Rude even. One woman employee declared my gold ring as brass before picking it up in her hands. I told her it is imprinted with 10k. She ran it in machine and, Gold it was! She shrugged and tossed it back my way. Another woman employee told me my antique diamond ring wasnt worth more much and i should put it on FB marketplace for $75 or just sell the gold. I looked it up on Ebay, Ebay comparisons have sold for significantly more. I started the bids at 350 and its going and already bid on.The bad advice is one thing. But the negative attitudes and RBF are realll. Sorry MGS I used to think highly of your shop but the staff is awful. I counted 7 employees behind the counter at 2 customers in the store. Not one emoloyee looked pleasant. Ttought maybe a bad day. Nope! Week later same experience.

I am so happy that I decided to go there. There was two ladies that helped me and made it well worth it. I have been wearing my grandfathers World War II dog tags for almost 30 years. As you can see, I have fixed it before but was not able to this time. When I went in there was a lady that told me they were four weeks out because they were short on staff. I said oh OK bummed out and asked if she could recommend me someplace else. Lady number one asked me if she could see it. After she looked at it for a minute, she asked me if I would be able to go do something and come back in a half an hour. I said yes thats possible why. She said that she would just cut one of the links hook the other one to it and then solder it closed. I was excited and said yes thank you very much maam how much do I owe you. She told me nothing. When I got back she said oh weve been waiting for you because there was a change in plans, but didnt want to do it without asking you. When she told me what she was doing, I figured there would be a cost. Once again, she said no. Lady number two is the kind lady who did the repair itself. To end the story, their kindness and heart they put into their goal is beyond this world. Thank you once again if you read this.

Customer service is lacking at Maine Gold & Silver. I have been in quite a few times now over the last several years and each time I have to wait for someone to even acknowledge my presence. Never greeted with a smile or a friendly disposition more of an attitude that I am being an inconvenience to them. My husband purchased a Mothers Ring for me a couple years ago from Maine Gold & Silver and one the stones kept falling out. I had to bring the ring back in for a replacement three times and the woman at the counter was very rude to me ( like it was my fault the stone wouldnt stay in). I like that I can go in with gold and sell/trade it in, but hesitate now due to the unwelcoming feeling I have felt each time I go in.
