We arrived with high hopes. A vacation on Sebago Lake. Unfortunately the disaster that was the cabin made finding the silver lining nearly impossible. We entered our cabin and immediately encountered a musty stink. Was it urine? Mold? Both? Difficult to tell. There was wall to wall carpeting in one bedroom and both smelled downright nasty. We tried to open the windows to get some air flowing but not all of them open. The screens were almost all in some state of repair. The bathroom screen was coated in mold. Air flowed but didn’t ever take the smell with it. The kitchen was rustic and soon showed its shortcomings. No broil setting on the old oven. Strong mold smell in the sink cabinets. The fridge was modern and cold. We liked the toaster - it too appeared modern and effective - until one evening we heard a rattling sound and spotted a mouse (twice) on the counter checking it out. So all the food went in the car and remained there for the rest of our stay. Bring extra bedding. The beds come with a sheet and very thin blanket; 62 degree nights can get cold. The odor in one room was so disgusting our child slept on the couch. The mouse must have left him alone at night; he never complained about that. The beach is nice, as were the other residents. We didn’t compare notes and hope their cabins were nice. Ours wasn’t. No way we’re ever coming back here.

Lake is gorgeous and so clean!!! Dog friendly accommodations and pups are ok on the beach as long as they are leashed they can swim to the right of the swimming area. Cabins are rustic but clean. The kids didn’t care for the bunk beds they said the couch was more comfortable but our bed was perfect. We loved the screened in porch we were in hemlock. They have charcoal grills available but we didn’t really use the kitchen or grill this trip. Instead we explored and ate out. Maine lobsters are right down the street! Will absolutely come here again!

Got a pounding headache from the mildew and I could hear someone yelling all the time. It's too bad Sebago is a beautiful area but I wont be staying here again.
