We stayed in an oceanfront platinum site. We had a deck area but the other oceanfront sites are just as good. A little snug on room thoough. Campground overall is great with lots of trees, live music and lots of activities near the office. Pretty good wifi (not for streaming) and close to several towns along HWY 1.

Great place! Peaceful and quiet despite being almost at capacity on Friday of Labor day Weekend. Nice amenities and access to a rock/pebbly beach.

The view was gorgeous from our campsite. When we were escorted to our campsite, Richard was guiding us in. He told us to swing wide and as he was watching the front, I told my husband he was too close to another trailer. Richard heard me and said he’s close but he is clear. And what do you think happened! The tongue of the trailer damaged my trailer and hooked into the bumper. It took at least 45 minutes to get the trailers unhooked. Needless to say when I talked to the owner she said well your husband was driving so he is responsible. She gave me insurance information and I called 3 times until I got a hold of anyone. He said he would call me back but of course I didn’t get a call back. The least they could have done was apologize and at least pay my deductible. After all we only did what Richard told us to do! And the pet policy is you can’t leave your pets alone in the trailer when you leave the campground. Which is why we will not return to this place.

First off, I'll say the staff is mostly friendly, and the location is great! The water views and being able to walk on the rocky beach were beautiful. And we visited Belfast, ME a bunch b/c it was a great little town nearby. The goats on site were fun too! But then there's the not so great stuff. Our site was very muddy when we arrived. No one else around us was muddy, only our site (#23). So the owner (Steve? I think he was one of the owners) made us park our RV at the front of the site to avoid the mud. Which meant there was no where to park our jeep, b/c he said we couldn't park on the grass (even though several around us were parked on the grass!). So he gave us a tent camping spot nearby to park our jeep, but it was taken every time we tried to park there. So we had to park our jeep kinda far away and walk to it. Pretty annoying since no one else in our row had to do this that I know of. Also that part of our site remained muddy our entire stay. Then we had electrical problems. We woke up one morning and realized we had been running on our batteries all night. Long story short they finally discovered there was a bunch of fried wires at the breaker box (the box was shared by about 20 RVs I think) and so they had to hook our power up to another campsite. and my husband said the fried wires looked really bad but the guy that helped us said he wasn't worried about it b/c he would be done there as a work camper in just a few days and it was someone else's problem. Now they did have several people helping us all day to try to get it fixed! But it was still annoying to have no power in the first place. Also, they have a "no lights after 10 pm" rule. Which is fine, a rule is a rule. But they showed up at our site every night at around 9:50 to tell us we needed to turn our lights off. I guess they didn't trust us to turn them off in a few minutes? I dunno. When we talked to other campers, they too had some issues with the strict "rules". But I honestly don't know their specific issues, so I guess it would be unfair for me to judge that. Anyway, like I said, the location was amazing, we were just really disappointed in our overall experiences here and it was the most expensive place we've stayed lately. ETA - I remembered another problem! The wifi. It did not work for us at all! Not on a TV, or tablet, or phone, or laptop. We were in the "silver" section I believe. Which was one row back from the ocean front sites.
