while some may be trying to give the store a bad name there is some truth to their accusations. I purchased a king charles cavalier spaniel from the store in scarborough and a few days later had some questions regarding the breed. I did some research and found that there are two different dogs... the english toy spaniel and the kind charles spaniel... the dog i purchased matches that description of the english toy spaniel variation. I called to speak with the owner and just mention it and he was so unprofessional.. this however is the least of my worries.. the dog i purchased has Syringomyelia... a fatal congenital defect that causes serious pain and will lead to my dogs death. i would not recommend purchasing a puppy from this store who until it became public knowledge was purchasing their dogs from puppy mills. (prob still do)

I've purchased 3 dogs from this place under the original owners. All three have been completely healthy and the people working there were very helpful and nice. The negative reviews here are just liars trying to put them out of business. Well, after I saw these local breeders protesting this store, I will never, ever buy a dog from a breeder in Maine. The local Maine dog breeders are a bunch of losers that need to spread lies to steal business from a great store. So the three dogs I've gotten from them are two rottweilers and one cockalier. All super healthy. I for one will miss them. F**K the local breeders, I hope they all go join the unemployment lines next to the employees they put out of business.

We purchased a puppy from this store less than one month ago. The store is under new management and now called Little Paws. Less than 24 hrs later our puppy was admitted to the Animal Emergency Clinic. The puppy was continually vomiting and had pneumonia. For a few days we didn't know if the puppy would pull through. She spent close to 2 weeks in the hospital and our bill is over $5000.00. The owner of the store will not take any responsibility. We have spoken to the State(who knows very well the multitude of complaints from the last owner) and we will be taking action to close this store down. The management may be new, but history is repeating itself. What should have been a very happy situation turned into a heart wrenching experience and financial nightmare for us.
