Ballroom Dance Portland

My fiancé and I went to Ballroom Dance Portland the week of our wedding to learn a routine for our first dance. Polina scheduled us for three thirty minute sessions and effectively taught us steps that wowed our guests. Neither of us are experienced dancers and we were impressed by Polina's ability to teach and lead us through a routine that looked polished and practiced on an incredibly short timeline. Save yourself the stress and don't leave your first dance to the last moment, but do go to Ballroom Dance Portland for all of your dancing needs.

This studio is outstanding. I would give it 6 stars if possible. Great clientele and wonderful instruction. I look forward to many more experiences there!

Why are there bad reviews? Polina is unethical and has terrible professional boundaries. She is unscrupulous in her business practices, has inappropriate relationships with employees and students. I’m honestly shocked by some of these reviews, knowing many of the reviewers personally I would have thought they would be more concerned with the character of the business owners they support.

We were very lucky to have found Ballroom Dance Portland from a Google search. We knew we wanted a traditional Waltz inspired by the Waltz in the movie Beauty and the Beast. We went to Polina with a big ask and she set us up with Gia as our instructor. We live in North Conway, NH so we drove 1.5 hours each way for our lessons, but they were well worth it! We did about 6 lessons total, but doubled up on time so the equivalent of 12 lessons. Neither of us had real ballroom training prior the coming here. Gia was great at explaining both the men and women parts to us and gave us a beautiful dance that was easy enough for us to learn without repeating steps, but also extremely fun to do! The crowd went wild during our dance and at the end, almost all my bridesmaids were crying they thought it was so beautiful! We honestly couldn't have been happier with our experience with Ballroom Dance Portland. We enjoyed it so much that I am still taking lessons even after the wedding. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone professional yet fun to work with!
