From the outside Katie's looks like a nice little house on the road. Inside it is simply charming. Our server was excellent with recommendations that hit the mark. The presentation was great the food even better. This food would rival even the best of Federal Hill in Providence, RI. I cannot wait to go back again. My husband and I each had a drink, appetizer, salad, meal and desert and it came to $100.00 before the tip. It was worth every cent. If you stay at the Grand Hotel across the street, check into their packages that include a dinner for 2 at Katies Cafe. You can choose ANY items off the menu.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations...we were greeted warmly by the owner, who seemed very focused (not overbearingly) on making sure everyone at his establishment was comfortable and satisfied. Service was great, food was great...you will NEVER have bread this good, that I guarantee. Clearly the review placed out here two years ago no longer applies....if you are in the York, Ogunquit, Wells or even Kennebunk area this place is worth the visit. Very close to Perkins Cove as well, so conveniently located.

Cute place located about mid way down Short Road. Lots of window views for some people watching while dining. Though the atmosphere of the place seems sparse but clean. The ice water had a hint of cucumber which was extra refreshing on a hot summer day. Complimentary bread was served with a herb infused olive oil as it should be in my opinion. I chose a pan seared chicken breast with a light asparagus sauce and sweet potato topped with very flavorful shitake mushrooms. The chicken was moist and delicious and the asparagus and sweet potato were cooked nicely and not over done.
