      image Convenient station to the shops and restaurants in the Freeport Village. Free parking, ADA , and friendly attendants. An excellent example of our tax $ at work as a result of the Obama era expansion of Amtrak from Portland to Brunswick.

      image This is an ex-B&M station that was added as an infill stop to the Downeaster route when it was extended from Portland to Brunswick. The station is functional and attractive, though nothing totally out of the ordinary. Also this is the Downeaster's only flag stop, meaning you need advance reservations to board/exit trains here - you can't buy tickets on the day of travel if you are going to/from Freeport.
